THE AIB 2015 Annual Conference - Bengaluru, India

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and the Academy of International Business  hosted the 56th Annual AIB Conference with 121 paper sessions, 6 special sessions and 33 panels across 15 tracks, from 27th June – 29th June 2015, in Bangalore.

The prestigious conference that came to India for the first time ever, brought  practitioners and scholars from 62 countries together.

AIB also announced a start of a new tradition this year by visiting a third sector, social organizations, to give the AIB members a chance to go beyond the walls of the conference venue and witness how innovative organizations are dealing with some of the challenges facing India. 

Themed ‘Global Networks: Organizations and People’, the AIB Annual Global Conference 2015  focused on responding to three megatrends—the rise of trade in activities, knowledge-intensive intangibles and emerging markets. 

AIB India 2014 Annual Conference

 

Theme : “Inter-Regional Business Collaborations: Past, Present and Future" .

Date: Feb 9-11, 2014

The Academy of International Business (AIB) India Chapter Conference hosted by the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur concluded on February 11, 2014. The three-day conference with a central theme on ‘Inter-Regional Business Collaborations: Past, Present and Future’' was inaugurated on Feb 9, 2014.  The conference brought together scholars from multiple disciplines and countries to understand and examine Regional business Collaborations in the past, present and future.

Objectives:

  • Examine and generate a complete understanding of the work of leading scholars from a series of diverse preliminary points in the perspective of Inter-Regional Business Collaborations and emerging markets..
  • Formulate and advance a multi-disciplinary research agenda, encompassing perspectives from a range of the functional areas of management studies.
  • Facilitate the formation of collaborative research networks among scholars routed in an interest in the

relationship between spatial and temporal differences in institutional framework and firm-level outcomes.

  • Round table discussions between scholars and eminent members from corporate houses

AIB India 2013 Annual Conference

 

Theme : International Business: The Emerging Economics Context

Date: 15th April 2013 - 17th April 2013

The Academy of International Business (AIB) India Chapter Conference hosted by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) concluded on April 17, 2013. The three-day conference with a central theme on 'International Business: The Emerging Economies Context' was inaugurated on April 15.  The conference brought together scholars from multiple disciplines and countries to understand and examine international business in the context of emerging economies. The event saw the participation of academics, business scholars, students and representatives from 72 institutions across 6 countries.

Objectives:

  1. Generate a holistic understanding of the work of leading scholars from a range of different starting points on the synthetic work and institutionally informed perspectives from emerging markets.
  2. Formulate and advance a multi-disciplinary research agenda, encompassing perspectives from a range of the functional areas of management studies.
  3. Facilitate the formation of collaborative research networks among scholars rou ted in an interest in the relationship between spatial and temporal differences in institutional framework and firm-level outcomes.
  4. Examine various institutional approaches, specifically capturing developing country oriented perspectives.
